1. What are the benefits I will get after registering for The Bishop’s MUN? Why is it important?

A) Attending a conference like The Bishop’s MUN will increase your knowledge about existing social, economic and political issues. Taking part as a delegate will also help in building one’s confidence and increase their social skills. Participating at a Model UN also teaches vital skills in negotiation, public speaking, problem solving, conflict resolution, research and communication. Model UN also gives students the opportunity to meet interesting new people and make new friends.
B)The conference not only involves young people in the study and discussion of global issues, but also encourages the development of skills useful throughout their lives, such as research, writing, public speaking, problem solving, consensus building, conflict resolution and compromise and cooperation.

2. What all is included in the registration fee?

The registration fee includes : • Lunch and High Tea on both days of the conference.
• Entry to the State Dinner.
• A delegate kit
• Training sessions 
• Study guides and Memorandums
• Participation certificate
• A souvenir

3. What is the Cancellation/ Refund policy?

The registration fee is a one-time non-refundable amount. If you are facing a problem we can help you with, please contact the Helpline number.

4. I won’t be able to attend a committee session/ the opening ceremony. Will I still get a certificate?

No. It is mandatory for delegates to attend all ceremonies and sessions to receive their certificate. No exceptions will be made.

5. How is The Bishop’s MUN different from other Traditional MUN conferences?

 The Bishop’s MUN follows the UN4MUN procedure. UN4MUN is a procedure devised by the United Nations for Model UN conferences all over the world. The procedure has been designed by the UN Department of Public Information to bring the realism of everyday diplomacy to the conference by combining real world principles and practices of the UN.

6. What is an agenda?

An agenda is the topic of discussion of your allotted committee. The agenda is set considering the contemporary issues that have relevance to the said committees. The entire discussion revolves around your ‘committee agenda’ and broadens subsequently.

7. Can I change my committee/country preference after I have registered?

 No, a participant cannot change his/her committee or country after having registered, as mentioned under the Terms and Conditions mentioned on the registration form. The committee and country allotted to the delegate will be final.

8. Who do I approach if I do not understand the agenda of my committee?

 To facilitate a healthy discussion in the committee, it is very important that you have a deep understanding of your agenda. Study guides and explanatory memorandums will be provided to help you understand your committee’s agenda better. You are suggested to attend the training sessions wherein the sources for your research material as well as the procedural rules are discussed at length. 9. Will The Bishop’s MUN make accommodation facilities?

Yes, The Bishop’s MUN will provide accommodation for all the out-station participants. Please call us at +919922999713 for any questions regarding accommodation.

10. Will there be a dress code during the conference?

A formal dress code will be strictly enforced during the conference. Business apparel is required during all sessions, meaning suits for men and business dress for women.  Kindly refer to the code of conduct for more details regarding the dress code.

11. I am not getting your emails.
